Every sculpture that leaves my studio has a face and a name. Sculpted and painted by hand, one at a time, with no duplicate.
Each piece is born once. When she finds her wearer, she is gone forever.

Vision
The feeling first
Every sculpture begins with an emotion, not a sketch. I work intuitively, shaping the clay until it reveals the being already formed in my mind.

Sculpt
Hand over clay
Each feature, from the arch of a brow, to the curve of an eyelid or lips, is shaped entirely with my hands and sculpting tools.

Paint
The makeup
I decorate each face with detail paint, layer upon layer. I may add shadows, highlights and dabs of colour. This is where the spirit of the piece finally comes to life.
